We are searching for a Senior VMWare Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Merrifield, VA. This is an on-site position with no telecommute. 

Roles and Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

•Installing and setting up ESXi cluster using either version 6.x or 7.x

•Managing and maintaining the ESXi environment using the vCenter 6.x or 7.x.

•Ability to write scripts using the VMWare CLI and PowerShell utilities to automate setup and management activities in the ESXi environment 6.x or 7.x .

a.Managing large ESXi environment 6.x or 7.x using vCenter to 

b.Create, clone, snapshot, maintain, backup and restore VMs,  

c.Create and manage datastore and virtual networking,

•Manage and maintain the ESXi servers.

•Managing and supporting Servers, storage, and network.

Minimum Requirements:

•Bachelors’ Degree in Computer Science or a related field and a minimum of 7 years’ experience. Additional experience may be substituted in lieu of degree. 

•At least 5 years of experience with VMWare, ESXI and vCenter and Hyper-V. 

•Experience with virtualization of large multiple environments: RHEL; Solaris; Unix; Windows

Preferred Qualifications

•Site Recovery Manager is desired.

•vRA or vCloud is a plus.

•VMware Certified Associate (VCA) preferred. 

•VMware Certified Professional (VCP) preferred.

Additional Provisions: 

•Must be able to obtain a Position of Public Trust Clearance

•Pass both a client mandated clearance process to include drug screening, criminal history check and credit check.

•Once candidate’s resume is approved and interview passed, the agency is responsible for providing drug screening.  Failure to submit the drug screening results will delay the security clearance process.

•If a candidate is given an interim clearance, continuation of employment is then based on the candidate receiving a sensitive clearance.  

•All candidates must be a US Citizen or have permanent residence status (Green Card). 

•Candidate must have lived in the United States for the past 5 years. 

•Cannot have more than 6 months travel outside the United States within the last five years.  Military Service excluded.  (Exception does not include military family members.)
