Job Title: IT - Business Systems Analyst II
Location: VA, Remote
Intermediate position and REMOTE

Job Description:
  • Under general supervision, has duties of instructing, directing, and checking the work of other project technical staff. Responsible for the completion of assigned technical projects within budgetary and scheduling guidelines. 
  • Leads a technical staff assigned for the duration of a project or may function as ongoing lead for technical staff associated with one or more technical areas. 
  • Does not have formal supervisory responsibilities, although may provide input for (project) team member performance appraisals. Typically performs all functional duties independently.
Required Skills/Experience
  • Knowledge of business project management tasks and tools. Ability to support and track project progress.
  • Experience and strong working knowledge that demonstrates understanding of complex business processes in areas such as Logistics, Operations, etc.
  • Experience using commercial and custom software applications in support of day to day business operations/processes.
  • Understand how to build and maintain positive client and peer relationships.
  • Ability to condense and synthesize complex technical concepts into non-technical language for customer stakeholders.
  • Knowledge/experience with MS PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Able to present and communication at all levels within an organization
Additional Required Skills/Experience:
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in business analysis, software development and/or related field;
  • A degree from an accredited College/University in Software Engineering,  Computer Science, Business or related discipline is preferred;
  • Able to perform all functional duties with the assistance of more senior personnel;
  • Knowledge of and experience in software development and testing, preferably using different methodologies and lifecycles (e.g. Waterfall, Agile, etc);
  • General familiarity and experience with project management methodologies/disciplines, especially in the areas of scope, cost and schedule management;
  • Experience leading small teams and/or technical projects in the successful completion of assigned goals/objectives;
  • Able to write and review a broad range of technical documentation, especially technical specifications and design documents;
  • Good communication skills.
