Job Title: IT - Database Administrator II

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator with 19c Upgrade experience to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in RALEIGH, NC. Full time remote work may be considered for the perfect candidate.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience upgrading Oracle databases to 19c. 

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

•Overall maintenance, administration, monitoring, problem management, and production for Oracle databases.

•Daily maintenance including monitoring and database maintenance tasks

•Database Upgrades to include working with project managers and managing individual projects for DB upgrades.

•Backup & Recovery

•Apply patches and upgrade database versions

•Install and Build database structures

•Develop and maintain shell scripts

•Query and performance tuning

•Develop and maintain documentation

•Program in PL/SQL

•Performance tuning of databases

• Reviews database design and make recommendations regarding enhancements and/or improvements.

•Maintains security and integrity controls.

•Develop stored procedures and/or triggers.

Basic Qualifications:

•Bachelor Degree and minimum 6 years experience. Additional experience may be substituted for degree.

• Minimum of 6 years of Oracle production support DBA experience; specifically, RMAN, OEM, and RAC

•PROVEN experience with Oracle 19c databases.

•Familiarity with architecture, both logical and physical design

•MUST be flexible and willing to work overnights and weekends as needed.

•Must be able to obtain a Position of Public Trust Clearance – US Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder) and must not have traveled outside the US for a combined total of 6 months or more in last 5 years.

• Must have resided in the US for the last 5 years

Preferred Qualifications:

• Local to the RDU / Research Triangle area (this position does not provide relocation assistance)

• Oracle certification strongly preferred
