EUC Mac Security Engineer
Job Description and Responsibilities
The Mac Security Engineer is responsible for design, implementation and 3rd level support of the Ally Mac environment, with a focus on Mac Security. This includes day-to-day operational support, and solutioning and implementation of security services and tools. Specific functional areas include:
This is a growing environment consisting of approximately 600 Macs, and largely made up of mobile developers and UX designers.
The environment is currently supported by the Parallels for Mac Management platform but is transitioning to the JAMF Management suite of services (JAMF Pro and JAMF Connect).
Vulnerability Management is performed through Qualys, and Patch Management will be performed through JAMF.

From a productivity and collaboration perspective, Ally is utilizing Microsoft’s M365 suite of services.
Responsibilities
Vulnerability & Patch Management Lead
Work closely with the Ally security team in monitoring, tracking and remediating vulnerabilities identified by Qualys.
Perform the lead Patch Management role including:
macOS Patching
Microsoft Patching
3rd Party Application Patching
Security tool implementation and operational support
Work closely with the security team in implementing and providing operational support for tools such as Antivirus, DLP, Privileged Management, etc.…
Security Baselines, Policies & Standards
Maintaining and validating adherence to macOS Baselines, Policies & Standards.
Skill/Experience/Education
Mandatory Skills Knowledge and Skills Required BS and 5+ years overall IT or equivalent preferred Minimum of 3+ years’ experience with supporting and administering a Mac Environment through JAMF.
Policies Imaging Software Distribution & Patching Familiarity with Client based Security tools and agents Antivirus DLP Familiarity with Networking
and Security Infrastructure Proxies & Firewalls Experience with integrating Macs into a Microsoft Environment Active Directory Integration
and Authentication Experience with supporting/troubleshooting M365 Services Outlook Teams OneDrive Strong communications skills,
both oral and written to all levels of management and staff Effective problem solving,
analysis and follow-up skills Willingness to learn and to take on additional responsibilities Proven ability to work as part of a team Self-directed and proactive Positive can-do attitude and the ability to adapt to change Customer Service focused
