Job Description: Cyber Security Engineer - Cloud (Accepting candidates in the Raleigh NC or Eagan MN areas)

Candidate must have experience implementing access control, data protection, vulnerability management, and continuous monitoring within cloud environment (e.g. CSPM) using service provider native tools, cloud access security broker (CASB), and security information and event management (SIEM).
Experience with Google or Amazon cloud environments desired.

Responsibilities will include:
Serving as a subject matter expert in the configuration and operation of the security consoles and controls within environment Working with multiple teams to establish multiple integrations with the cloud application security broker Providing analysis of outputs and recommendations for improving overall security posture Developing technical documentation and briefing material supporting architecture discussions and leadership decision making processes

Required Skills:
GCP and/or AWS security capability application CASB application, including integration to multiple services Ability to engineer and implement security controls to comply with industry best practices and various regulatory controls Ability to conduct initial triage assessments of findings from audit or testing Ability to review, produce and make recommendations to improve the security posture Demonstrates strong communication skills (written/spoken).
Demonstrates strong in-person interaction skills.
  
Desired Skills:
Experience automating process using PowerShell or Python, including use of remote APIs Experience with SIEM integration and use for ad-hoc investigation and data visualization Experience deploying physical, virtual and cloud hosted enterprise applications on Windows and/or Linux Experience working with NIST CSF and CIS CSC frameworks

EXPERIENCE LEVEL:  
Extensive experience (7+ years) in information security operations and/or related IT operational functions

EDUCATION:  
Must possess a minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Information Security (Masters Degree preferred).

CERTIFICATIONS: (One or more required)
CompTIA Security +
CPTE - Certified Penetration Testing Engineer or
CEH - Certified Ethical Hacker -Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP)

Additional Provisions:

• Must be able to obtain a Position of Public Trust Clearance
• Pass both a client mandated clearance process to include drug screening, criminal history check and credit check.
• Once candidate’s resume is approved and interview passed, the agency is responsible for providing drug screening.
Failure to submit the drug screening results will delay the security clearance process.
• All candidates must be a US Citizen, or have permanent residence status (Green Card).
• Candidate must have lived in the United States for the past 5 years.
• Cannot have more than 6 months travel outside the United States within the last five years.
Military Service excluded. (Exception does not include military family members.)
• All overtime must be pre-approved in writing by the client manager or his/her designated representative.
• Agency will not be reimbursed for overtime charges without previous written authorization. Authorized overtime will be reimbursed at straight time.
