Description:
Infrastructure Design is a group within NIT that provides overall design for infrastructure delivery and interoperability for the 200+ technologies, 24,000 servers, and cloud services in use today support applications. Provides the expertise and design solutions based on CIO Architectures and Strategies architectural layouts for systems. Ensures the development teams, Endpoint teams, CISO teams, and others have secure, performant, and available cloud and on-premise platforms and services at their disposal.
Highly specialized in one or more phases of software systems development, systems integration, or network engineering. Provides technical assistance and advice on complex activities. Formulates / defines specifications, develops / modifies / maintains complex systems and subsystems, using vendor engineering releases and utilities for overall operational systems. Applies analytical techniques when gathering information from users, defining work problems, designing technology solutions, and developing procedures to resolve the problems. Develops complete specifications to enable computer programmers to prepare required programs. Analyzes methods of approach. Reviews task proposal requirements, gathers information, analyzes data, prepares project synopses, compares alternatives, prepares specifications, resolves processing problems, coordinates work with programmers and engineers, and orients users to new systems. Works with considerable freedom to make decisions on the techniques and approaches to be used. Prepares recommendations for system improvement for management and user consideration.
Roles and Responsibilities Include but not limited to:
Suppliers must provide an expert CI/CD Engineer resource in support Coustomer DevSecOps initiatives for Client cloud and on-prem infrastructure platforms and applications.
Minimum of 8-12 years’ experience, in technology or software development preferred,
The CI/CD engineer is responsible for designing, building, testing, and maintaining the continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines for software development.
Write automations and workflows utilizing GitHub Actions to integrate different components of full CI/CD pipeline like Terraform, Trivy, Megalinter, and ServiceNow.
Utilize tools like GitHub, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, and other CI/CD technologies to develop and manage pipelines.
Develop infrastructure design patterns and deploy infrastructure as a code with tools like Terraform and Ansible.
Design and lead implementation of solutions in Cloud Service Providers (CSP) like AWS, GCP and Azure and On-Prem.
Utilize container registries such as Artifactory, GHCR, and CSP registries and support base container images.
Support Kubernetes Clusters, including AKS, GKE, EKS, ROSA & Rancher.
Collaborate with development and operations teams to understand their needs and create a pipeline that meets their requirements their key areas.
Advise and oversee the process Improvement initiatives and IT requirements related to all aspect of application’s CI/CD pipelines.
Automate security processes, such as vulnerability scanning, testing, and monitoring.
Troubleshoot and resolve incidents and implement changes and act as escalation resource for Operations team.
Mentor and transfer knowledge and less experienced team members.
Document process and procedures.
Prioritize and schedule projects/tasks based at the direction of Coustomer leadership.
Typically performs all functional duties independently.
Required Certifications, if any:
GitHub Certification or Cloud Certification - AWS, GCP or Azure preferred
Educational Requirements:
A degree from an accredited College/University in the applicable field of services is required. If the individual's degree is not in the applicable field, then four additional years of related experience is required.
Additional Provisions:
Must be able to obtain a Position of Public Trust Clearance
Pass both a client mandated clearance process to include drug screening, criminal history check and credit check.
Once candidate’s resume is approved and interview passed, the agency is responsible for providing drug screening. Failure to submit the drug screening results will delay the security clearance process.
If a candidate is given an interim clearance, continuation of employment is then based on the candidate receiving a sensitive clearance.
All candidates must be a US Citizen or have permanent residence status (Green Card).
Candidate must have lived in the United States for the past 5 years.
Cannot have more than 6 months travel outside the United States within the last five years. Military Service excluded. (Exception does not include military family members.)
All overtime must be pre-approved in writing by the client manager or his/her designated representative.
Agency will not be reimbursed for overtime charges without previous written authorization. Authorized overtime will be reimbursed at straight time.
