VITA - Network Architect
ON SITE: 4 days/week required. Local Richmond candidates preferred
**Mgr will conduct initial web-based interviews but reserves the option to do a follow up IN PERSON interview if necessary.
Role requires 4 days in the office. Parking is provided for contractors at this facility.

Mgr prefers local Richmond candidates bc of the onsite requirement. If indicate your candidate lives in Richmond and their phn# and locations on resume do not confirm they are in RVA then PLEASE upload (under Reference Tab) either a recent (local) utility bill or driver's license with their name and local RVA address to confirm. Do this AT TIME OF SUBMIITAL so it's in Vector when I review the submittal. I may not have time to revisit so upload when you upload the resume.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
Network architect to provide data networking solutions and oversight in regard to legacy telco services such as broadband internet circuits, cloud networking, wireless mobile service, etc.
Extensive knowledge and experience with Data and Network Monitoring technologies, standards, and practices for management of the broadband circuit portfolio.
Ability to assist with the Data Networking services lifecycle from strategic planning to operations and financials; from a broadband circuit perspective.
Wireless mobile phone and Data Networking expertise required to specify business requirements for current & future services.
Ability to perform Voice and Data Networking technology and operational assessments to manage the legacy portfolio/tech debt to create future roadmaps.
Experience with wireless Intune MDM for configuration of wireless settings for devices
Experience in managing general technology incidents and leading them to resolution.
Understands best practices in service management including contract and vendor management in an outsourcing or shared service
Responsible for responding to and resolving customer/agency escalations
Recommended Knowledge/Experiences:
Experience in State/Agency is a plus. ITIL Foundations certification desirable
Experience deploying and managing broadband circuits and wireless phone solutions
Experience in cloud networking
Experience with Thousand Eyes network monitoring tool
