15 to 20 Years of IT experience
This is an E-commerce position requiring a minimum of bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or has equivalent work experience. Must have strong administration support skills in UNIX (Solaris / Linux), AWS, Terraform, and Python, strong communication (written and verbal), and documentation skills. Be able to implement and support of specialized business and technical information technology solutions.
Technical Skills and product knowledge requirements: Strong UNIX / Linux systems administration skills Shell Scripting (Shell, Python, etc) Strong AWS skills (AWS Console, RDS, EC2, Route53, S3, etc) Strong Terraform scripting skills Understanding of GitLab Understanding of networking Understanding of Unix Permissions and FACLs Understanding and management of SSL, TLS, data encryption, and certificates Experience in identifying and troubleshooting system outages. Proven interpersonal, communication, organizational, leadership and customer service skills. Must be willing to work off hours, weekends and occasionally be on call for production support. Qualifications / Responsibilities - Product Knowledge: Perform support responsibilities in AWS and RHEL Linux Provide build and operational support in AWS including troubleshooting, timely resolution, and root cause analysis of incidents in the environments. Perform change management (CM) role on the components. Implement change requests based on CM processes. Implement necessary steps to prevent future incidents. Code new and update existing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) environments using Terraform. Qualified applicants have a Bachelor's degree in a related area or have at least 5 to 8 years of experience in the field Demonstration of initiative and results oriented with flexibility and tenacity, and the ability to continuously adjust priorities to reflect changing circumstances. Strong diplomacy, assertiveness, influencing skills with commitment and ability to work in a dynamic cross-organizational team environment. Strong dedication to provide quality customer service. Effective problem-solving skills and inherent decision-making ability Strong analytical skills including the ability to quickly identify the cause of issues with the system or determine if other teams need to be included in resolving an issue. Ability to manage own projects including communications to customers as well as work as part of a larger operational team.
