Location: Remote, however Customer site locations are; Dallas, TX, East Rutherford, NJ, and Richmond, VA.
Eastern, Central and Mountain time zones.
US Citizenship is Required - Ability to pass enhanced background screen (criminal, financial, drug) for Public Trust clearance.
Description:
- This is Network Engineer position requiring a minimum of bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or has equivalent work experience. Must have strong Network support skills in several industry leading technologies.
- Candidate must have strong troubleshooting experience as well as possess strong communication and documentation skills.
- Be able to implement and support of specialized business and technical information technology solutions.
Technical Skills and product knowledge requirements:
- 10 years of general network support experience.
- Strong experience with F5 APM.
- Strong understanding of PKI and Multi-Factor Authentication.
- Extensive knowledge of Cisco ISE.
- Extensive knowledge of IPSec/IKE (B2B VPN (Cisco preferred).
- Extensive knowledge of firewall administration (Checkpoint and Juniper preferred).
- Extensive knowledge of Load Balancer administration (F5 preferred).
- Extensive knowledge of switching and routing commands (Cisco preferred).
- Cisco IOS routers, Cisco IOS, and Nexus OS switches.
- Advanced level knowledge of any of the following routing protocols (e.g. BGP, EIGRP, HSRP, VLAN, and TCP/IP).
- Ability to create and/or maintain Visio Network diagrams.
- Experience troubleshooting and maintaining various types of cabling.
- Extensive history of documented troubleshooting skills relating to desktops, servers, network and firewalls.
- Follow-up and attention to detail with great customer service skills.
- Professional, responsible attitude and work independently.
- Extensive written documentation (processes, user guides).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work with remote, matrixed teams.
- Ability to work effectively in a team, and with clients.
Other Skills:
- Experience with DNS
- Experience with Unix/Linux/Windows
- Experience with Cloud Technologies (AWS, Azure)
- Experience with various Network Tools (NAS, NNMi, SevOne)
- Experience troubleshooting VPN client issues (F5 APM, Cisco Firepower preferred)
- Experience using Wireshark packet filters or tcpdumps
