Job Description: Job Title: Developer, Web Software – Senior (Java/Oracle/SQL)

Description:
The client seeks a senior-level Java Web Software Developer with strong business acumen for our client located in Washington DC. Please do not submit anyone with less than 10 years of experience.
Provides support to develop Web based applications including online customer service for agency components to be able to deliver their services online. Provide support in developing the site concept, interface design, and architecture of the website. Provide support for the implementation of interfaces to applications. Working knowledge and experience coding in Java is preferred. Knowledge of several of the following areas is desirable: Active Server Pages (ASP), JavaScript, and SQL Server, Visual Basic, JavaScript, MS Access, HTML, DBMS's (ex. - Oracle, SQL Server, etc. Experience in full life cycle development and Agile development methodology. Also, hands-on experience in analysis and design, working with business customer(s) and infrastructure teams to translate requirements to applications.
Required Skills:
10+ years advanced computer programming skills in Java/J2EE, Web Services/Design/Development and APIs
2+ years advanced computer programming skills in JSF 2.x/PrimeFaces, JSP
4+ years advanced computer programming skills in JavaScript/JQuery/AJAX/Angular JS
Moderate experience developing/supporting software applications using Java and more than one of these software technologies: Active Server Pages (ASP), JavaScript, Oracle DBMS, SQL Server DBMS, Visual Basic, JavaScript, MS Access, HTML.
Working experience in creating and maintain applications written Oracle PL/SQL, Unix Shell Scripting, HTML, JavaScript and .Net.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, both individual and team related tasks.
Maintains attention to detail in high-pressure situations, and the ability to exhibit confidence and knowledge in solving problems.

Additional Required Skills/Experience:
• A degree from an accredited College/University in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline is preferred;
• Able to perform all functional duties independently; • Experience training/mentoring less experienced personnel;
• Moderate knowledge of and experience with designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining complex Web-based software systems;
• Moderate experience developing/supporting software applications using Java and more than one of these software technologies: Active Server Pages (ASP), JavaScript, Oracle DBMS, SQL Server DBMS, Visual Basic, JavaScript, MS Access, HTML;
• Moderate experience collaborating with end users to define new Web-based software system requirements;
• Experience authoring or contributing to software-related documentation such as requirements specifications, design documents, technical manuals, and user manuals; • Able to obtain Postal clearance;
• Excellent communication skills.
Additional Provisions:
• Must be able to obtain a Position of Public Trust Clearance
• Pass both a client mandated clearance process to include drug screening, criminal history check and credit check.
• Once candidate’s resume is approved and interview passed, the agency is responsible for providing drug screening. Failure to submit the drug screening results will delay the security clearance process.
• If a candidate is given an interim clearance, continuation of employment is then based on the candidate receiving a sensitive clearance.
• All candidates must be a US Citizen, or have permanent residence status (Green Card).
• Candidate must have lived in the United States for the past 5 years.
• Cannot have more than 6 months travel outside the United States within the last five years. Military Service excluded. (Exception does not include military family members.)
• All overtime must be pre-approved in writing by the client manager or his/her designated representative.
