Senior Project Manager will support projects specific to and lead by the Chief Technology Officers group.

The IOT CTO group includes Enterprise Architecture, Centralized Application Services, IN.gov, and Strategic Engagement.

• Camera modernization project

• Multi-disciplinary projects that span teams with the CTO’s office and other parts of IOT

• Proof of Concept (POC) and pilot projects for emergent technological solutions

• Technical upgrades that are not fully covered by other IOT teams

Increase speed-to-delivery for projects, with adherence to budget and requirements standards

Ensure that projects have defined goals and expectations and that project deliverables execute to the state goals and expectations

Reduce “surprises” by identifying potential risks and issues at an early project stage and continue to refresh throughout project execution

Increase communication, relationships and alignment with IOT internal teams and the occasional external State partner

Maintain constant focus on projects’ visions and objectives

Responsible for relationship management, project planning, resource management, tactical execution, and the creation and / or oversight of final project deliverables

Collaborate with senior management, stakeholders, and the team to meet business objectives and provide professional leadership & mentorship fostering respect and trust to inspire others to pursue excellence.

Review, revise, and implement policies, practices, standards, and tools that support CTO project efforts

Work directly with senior managers and staff supporting all facets of IOT’s service delivery

Manage staff and teams, as needed

Experience as a strategic planner, program / portfolio manager, or project manager Required 15 Years

PMP Certified Required 

Experience with technology projects using various development methodologies, including agile and waterfall SDLCs Required 15 Years

Extensive experience overseeing multiple projects to successful conclusion Required 15 Years

Experience managing projects of relative high complexity and dollar value Required 15 Years

Experience developing, monitoring, and maintaining project plans Required 15 Years

Ability to maintain tact, diplomacy, and mindfulness in engagement with highly visible and highly demanding stakeholders at a variety of levels Required
